Awa Odori comes to UH Manoa

Twenty-six dancers from Tokushima prefecture will perform at UH Manoa’s Campus Center Grand Ballroom on March 15th, 2010 from 10:30 – 11:45am. Awa Odori is the largest dance festival in Japan attracting 1.3 million visitors a year! There will be talks by a former JET Program alumna and one of the dance leaders, followed by a colorful and lively dance demonstration. This event is co-sponsored by The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) at UH, the Consulate General of Japan at Honolulu, and other organizations.

Cost: Free!

11:15 – 11:45 am   Awa Odori dance demonstration
