On Sunday, January 10th, members of JETAA Hawaii volunteered their time at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii’s (JCCH) New Year Ohana Festival. JETAA Hawaii has volunteered for this annual event for the past several years, enjoying each opportunity to give back to the community.
This year, our volunteers worked in the Keiki Make-n-Take booths, assisting children with crafts such as kendama, personalized zodiac name tags and tiger masks. It was a fun experience for all!
Volunteers were provided with lunch and had the opportunity to walk around the festival taking in the many crafts, cultural and food booths as well as entertainment at the main stage, including a special appearance by Kikaida!
Thank you to all the JETAA Hawaii members who volunteered their time to help make the New Year Ohana Festival a success. We hope to see you next year!
